We were recruited by the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts to give a workshop on the fundamentals of filmmaking and storytelling within a cinematic framework. The workshop was well-received and we have been invited back to give further instruction.
As part of the Concordia Student Union's popular CSU 101 workshop series, mtset productions has provided media education to Concordia students over the past two years.
With a focus on theory and practice, our workshop culminates in the production of a short film that is written, directed and shot by the students in the class.
In collaboration with community partners at the Black Community Resource Centre and Concordia University Television, we developed Say it Loud, Say it Proud! an inter-generational youth media project. The project was awarded a Heritage Canada Second Languages grant and is currently in full swing at two Montreal high schools.
